A familiar voice, whenever it's needed.

Familiar lets people living with dementia talk with a loved one's voice, even when that person can't be there.

On a call

"Hi Mum, it's so good to hear from you. Tell me about your morning."

How it works

Simple for the person living with dementia, and in the family's hands from start to finish.

1

A loved one records their voice

A family member or friend answers a few short questions, and Familiar learns how they sound and what matters to them.

2

One tap to talk

The patient presses one button and simply talks. There are no menus and nothing else to tap. Familiar listens and replies in that familiar voice.

3

Caregivers stay in the loop

Caregivers can look back at past conversations and get an alert if their loved one mentions pain, a fall or trouble breathing.

Built with care

Familiar is designed around the needs of people living with dementia and the families who support them.

Gentle, dementia-aware conversation

Short, warm sentences. It never argues or corrects; it gently redirects, the way trained caregivers do.

Private by design

Voices and conversations are processed by open-source AI that we run ourselves, not sent to outside voice companies.

Comfort between visits

For moments of loneliness or anxiety, when the people they ask for are at work, busy or far away.

Affordable for families

Planned as a simple monthly plan for families and care homes, with no per-minute charges.

Be the first to hear when Familiar is ready

We're testing Familiar now. If you care for someone living with dementia, or you work in a care home, we'd love to hear from you.
